Beyond the Summer

Our Promise

While our summer youth program grants our heroes the necessary skills, discipline, and education to work towards their ambitions, it is just the beginning of their adventure towards greatness. Our heroes know how much farther each of us can go, when we go together. And they know that we at the Heroes Academy promise to support each of our heroes throughout their higher education and professional careers.

Tutoring & College App Consulting

After the end of the summer program, seniors and recent high school graduates work with Marlon, as both a class and through one-on-one sessions, to prepare for their college and financial aid applications. For any of our high school and college students who need additional academic support, we also provide them with free tutoring.

 Advising & Mentoring

Our lead instructor regularly meets with our heroes throughout the year in one-on-one meetings to help each student prepare to take advantage of the opportunities and resources around them. Moreover, whenever possible, we connect our heroes with either other students or friends of the Heroes Academy that share similar ambitions or career paths. These connections are meant to expose our heroes to more mentors for guidance.

Networking & Career Support

As the Heroes Academy grows, so does our network. As such, we are constantly thinking of new and fun ways to have our alumni bond with and help one another out. In addition to helping connect to other heroes and networks, we at the Heroes Academy, also help our students with basic career support like: resume and cover letter editing, interview prep, job searching support, and so on.
